Photogrammetry
Photogrammetry is the technology of extracting measurements from either aerial or terrestrially produced photographs.
DB Sysgraph consultants incorporate leading technologies in order to provide clients with economic benefits. We recognize
that the primary investment in mapping hardware and technology can be quite costly. We also understand that the results
can lead to improved efficiency and higher productivity — ultimately bringing lower costs to our clients.
Photogrammetry is the process of transforming photographs into a physical map. It is achieved by using a stereo-plotter to
create a three-dimensional image by combining photos taken from two different angles.
DBS can create a highly accurate base map by placing a layer of ortho-photos over aerial photos.
Because average aerial photographs contain distortion, no constant scale is being maintained across the image. Therefore,
because of their ability to maintain a more constant scale, ortho-photos are used more often for measurement and spatial
analyses. Ortho-photos and aerial photos, used together, can be combined with other geographic information to provide our
clients with an accurate and rich visual context.
DBS is recognized nationwide for providing a wide assortment of specialized products and services in the photogrammetric
and mapping industries. We have the ability to deliver digital data in many formats.
Our staff remains at the forefront of the latest technological advancements of:
- Satellite imagery
- Conventional and digital aerial photography
- Laser ranging (lidar)
- Photogrammetry
Allow DBS to use Photogrammetry to answer your questions about:

- What is it?
- Type?
- Quality?
2. Object measurement
- Where is it?
- In what form?
- What size?
- In what quantity?
