



Vital statistics is an application that assists Public health authorities to collect and distribute accurate, comprehensible information critical to make an informed decision on matters concerning individual and community health. There has been an enormous amount of data captured over the years. i-Vstats was designed as a tool to help the authorities collect, maintain, certify, sell and preserve vital statistics records. The i-Vstats suite consists of Birth, Death, Marriage, and divorce modules.
Need:
i-Vstats was designed keeping in mind the strategy to re-engineer jurisdiction vital statistics systems, address a number of problems that arose from
outdated systems, and manual paper based processes. i-Vstats is designed to provide accurate vital records delivery in a timely fashion and reduce the
response time for customers. i-Vstats uses the 2005 revised standard Certificates of birth and death for data collection.

Typical turnkey implementation
Since the standard revised certificate specifications are used in designing i-Vstats, turnkey time is based on the current system and data formats.
Needs assessment deals with understanding current system and data formats. Designing procedure and policies to convert existing data into 2005 revised certificate specification format. Find missing pieces of data (fields based on format difference) and device methodology for updating records.
Application Customization: DBS offers up to 40 hours of customization to the product as part of the initial module purchase. Additional customization is dealt with as an extra at normal billing rates for various categories.
Application installation: DBS will install the application on 5 clients or 1 server with CAL (client access licenses) in web-enabled mode. Additional licenses of i-Vstats are available and can be priced upon request.
Training of Users: DBS will spend a total of 2 days at the jurisdiction office to train staff members in the use of the application.
Annual Maintenance: DBS will provide online support to users for a period of 1 year. Onsite support of 20 hours will be provided as part of the base software. Additional support will be provided in increments of 4-hours blocks with each 4-hour block priced at $500. Mileage will be billed separately.
